Information about Obtaining, Processing and Using your Data
(General Data Protection Regulations)
Your trust in the correct use of your personal data is key to the success of our website. Consequently we regard data protection as extremely important. Obtaining, processing (which includes storing, changing, distributing, blocking or deleting) and using your data will only take place within the context of the valid data protection guidelines.
We would like to outline below the fundamental principles with regard to obtaining, processing and using your data.
1. Obtaining, processing and using personal data
Personal data refers to information about a person's identity, such as that person's name, address, date of birth or e-mail address.
1.1. When making use of our online service in general
As a general rule we will not obtain, process and/or use any personal data from you while you are making use of our online service.
1.2. When making use of services (newsletter)
However, personal data will be obtained if you supply us with this data of your own accord. We will then process and use this data as required in order to provide the relevant service.
2. Obtaining, processing and using usage data
Usage data is information which you do not actively provide but which is passively obtained, for example while you move around a website.
When you visit our online service we store for a period of four (4) working days the domain name or IP address of the computer you have used, the client’s file request (file name and URL), the HTTP reply code and the website from which you accessed us, and the data and length of your visit. We store this information to assist in investigating disturbances or abuse of our online service and telecommunication service and equipment, and also in order to construct further connections and/or for accounting purposes. We do not evaluate your usage data in order to create a personal user profile, unless you have expressly agreed to your data being used to such a purpose. In cases of disturbance or abuse we reserve the right to make a report to the relevant law enforcement agencies. Your usage data will not be employed for any other purpose or passed on to third parties.
3. Using Cookies
• What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile phone (device) by the respective servers when an Internet site is visited and is then stored temporarily on your hard disc. When the server is accessed again, your browser sends the cookie which has previously been received back to the server; the server can then evaluate in various ways information received by means of this procedure.
• How do we use cookies?
When somebody visits our website to use our online service, cookies are sent to the user's browser and stored on the device’s hard disk. These cookies serve to make our online service more user-friendly, effective and secure. The cookies do not contain any personal data or any personal information about you, so it would be impossible for us to identify an individual by means of the information obtained via a cookie. The information obtained is only for the purpose of creating statistical data about the use of our online service. This enables us to adapt the online service as effectively as possible to your wishes, and to make surfing the online service as comfortable as possible for you.
When you enter the log-in area a personal user profile is created so that we can offer you individual services tailored to your needs; the information we obtain from you here helps us to adapt the log-in area to your individual requirements and to constantly improve it. We use your information to keep data files up to date and help us recommend to you programs which may be of interest to you. This is how we make it as comfortable as possible for you to surf our online service.
• Is there any way that third parties can insert cookies and web beacons into our online services?
In the context of this online service we make use of Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., USA ('Google'). Google Analytics employs cookies, which make it possible to analyze the way you use our online service. The information generated by the cookies about your use of our online service (including your IP address) is sent to a Google server in Europe, or in a member state of the European Economic Area, so that the IP address can be rendered anonymous; this eliminates the possibility that you can be identified. Not until this has been done is the shortened IP address sent to a server in the USA. Only in certain exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google, acting on our behalf, will use the information generated from the cookies to evaluate the way you make use of our online service and compile reports on this usage, so that we can continue providing this online service and our general Internet operations. The (shortened) IP address will not be correlated with other data Google may possess.
As well as using the browser settings stated in the section '3 – Use of Cookies: how to remove cookies', you can also prevent your data being processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin that can be accessed from the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Our online service uses Google AdSense, a web service provided by Google Inc., USA ('Google') which places context-dependent advertisements ('advertisements') from third parties within our online services on the basis of search criteria entered into search engines or key terms of the website content. We would like to state at this point that within the framework of these advertisements, Google can place and access cookies on your browser as well as web beacons (tiny invisible graphic files) for the purpose of gathering information. Any information generated by the cookies and/or web beacons is transferred to a Google server in the USA and processed there.
By employing what are known as DoubleClick DART Cookies Google is able to utilize information from your visit to our online services and other websites in such a way that certain advertisements are triggered by the process known as frequency capping. In this way the frequency of advertisements is maintained according to standardized criteria. You can deactivate the deployment of DoubleClick DART Cookies by Google on your website by going to Google's Data Protection Centre, accessing the Advertisement and Data Protection option and following the deactivation instructions found there.
When you use the automatic log-in, the relevant page of our online service also sends out a cookie to your device; your registration data is stored here, so that when you next use the website you do not need to register again. You can deactivate the automatic log-in at any time after you have logged in.
• How can cookies be removed?
If you prefer not to make use of the benefits provided by our cookies or those of third parties, it is of course also quite possible to enjoy our online services without cookies. Each browser can be set so that cookies are rejected as a matter of course. You can also delete at any time cookies which have been created. If you wish to ensure that cookies are not created, please follow these technical instructions.
If you do not accept any cookies, it can – in individual cases – lead to functional limitations with regard to the website. Please note that deleting cookies which have been created in your browser will also mean that the settings relating to the processing of your information, by us or by third parties, will also be deleted. Consequently, if you delete the cookies stored in your browser you will have to recreate the desired settings for the processing of your information by us or by third parties.
4. Sharing your data
Your data will not be shared with any of our commercial partners or any third parties, unless
• you give us express permission to do so, or
• we are obliged to hand over this data, for example due to a legal decree or the orders of an official authority.
5. Modifying your data
We make every effort to store your personal data correctly. However, in the profile sector of the relevant service you can modify your data (e.g. you can bring it up to date, correct it and/or add to it) or delete it at any time. To protect your privacy and for your security we will check your identity before you are permitted to perform these actions.
If it is not possible for you to modify your data in the profile sector of the relevant service, or the profile sector does not exist, you may reach us at the following e-mail address: info@redarrowinternational.tv.
6. Cancellation
If you decide at some point that you have no further interest in receiving certain information or offers, or do not wish to receive the information/offers in a certain way, please inform us by e-mail at the address info@redarrowinternational.tv. We shall then comply with your request immediately. You can also contact us at this address if you wish to cancel your agreement to our obtaining, processing or using the data for the future. In this case all stored data concerning you will immediately be deleted. Please note that for technical or organisational reasons there may be a time lag between the data being deleted and it being used within the framework of a campaign that is currently running.
7. No liability for partners’ Internet sites
We may supply links from our website to various partners who in turn operate Internet sites and provide services. As a rule they will have their own data protection statements. However, we do not accept any liability for statements which are not directly associated to our own operations. We would suggest that you obtain information about the relevant data protection regulations.
8. Data security
We consider ourselves obliged to ensure the security of your data. In order to prevent the unauthorised access or transmission of data which we obtain online, to ensure the correctness of the data and to guarantee that it is only used as authorised, we have established appropriate technical and organisational data protection procedures. However, we cannot accept any liability or responsibility for the transmission of your data due to errors in data transmission and/or unauthorised access by third parties.
9. Information/suggestions
In order to request information or provide suggestions concerning data protection you are very welcome to contact us by e-mail at the address info@redarrowinternational.tv
10. Changes to data protection regulations
We reserve the right to make changes to these General Data Protection Regulations at any time in response to the data protection laws in operation. When using our online service, the version of the General Data Protection Regulations valid at the time of your visit, and obtainable online, is that which applies.
Insofar as you have notified us with regard to the use of personal data in association with services, we shall inform you about any changed conditions in appropriate fashion (e.g. by e-mail) four weeks at the latest before they come into effect. Should you fail to make any objections to these changes within four weeks after receipt of that information, then the changed General Data Protection Regulations will be considered to have been accepted. When we contact you about any changed conditions we shall also inform you of the significance of this four-week notice period.
