The ambitious lawyer Maja is hoping to make a huge leap in her career.
Now that Albrecht Windhorst is leaving the firm, she expects to be chosen as his successor and the new partner in the law practice.
Her hopes are dashed when instead of receiving a promotion, Maja is fired.
Maja suspects that it was her rival Maximilian, who was somehow responsible for her getting the boot.
In order to prove he schemed against her, Maja disguises herself as a cleaning woman and sneaks back into the office.
While cleaning the bathroom, she is recognized by her former colleague Jan.
Although Jan is skeptical about her notions of intrigue, he still gives her the key to Maximilian’s office.
However, Maja’s suspicions completely disintegrate when she learns from Jan that Maximilian has actually quitted his job. Maja is forced to abandon her hope of ever becoming a partner.
Suddenly the ‘real’ cleaning women appear in the office – and they come up with an idea.
Digging through the paperwork in Albrecht’s former office, they discover photos of him with a secret lover – a woman Maja even knows!
She is sure that the blonde was a client whose patent application has been sabotaged.
Further inquiries reveal that the same woman now works for her former competitor.
With Windhorst’s help, the blonde obviously undermined her own company’s interests to land the new high-profile job.
How could Maja prove this? Perhaps by hitting Windhorst on his most exposed nerve - his jealous wife…
