The talented journalist Mia has been hoping to be promoted to editor-in-chief. Instead, she is crushed to learn her ex-boyfriend gets the job – and is now her new boss.
Storming immediately to the publisher, Mia convinces him to give her a chance. If she is able to prove that she can do better, the position will be hers. Determined to out do her rival, Mia begins searching for the perfect story.
She discovers the following ad: “Millionaire is searching for an attractive, independent woman for marriage who must consent to have children. Reward: € 1 Million.”
Mia comes up with a great idea for a story. She will go undercover, pretending to be interested in the bold proposition, and write a flaming article about this rare and arrogant type of man – one who believes he can simply buy an emancipated woman!
What she cannot suspect is that the ad was not really placed by a millionaire; it was a trap set up by Stani, another journalist. 
His plan is to lure in and write a story about women who claim to be independent but are really after a man to pay their way…
But when Mia falls in love with the alleged millionaire, her world is turned upside down.
Stani also realizes that he has fallen in love with the victim of his trap. Mia is so taken by the “millionaire” that she is willing to give up the story and even her career – until she learns the truth.
Deeply disappointed, she believes that Stani’s display of affection was faked, and so she strikes back. Both are ambitious and in love, but which will prove the greater force in the end?
