For the divorce lawyer Maja, a single parent, the topic of “men” is the most annoying theme in her life. Not only had the father of her son abandoned her while she was still pregnant, every single relationship she has had with a man since that point has proved to be a disaster.
Now that she has taken a permanent position at a prestigious law firm, Maja begins a new and important phase of her career. She already has her first divorce case, in which Hanno, whom she knew in her university days, is representing the other side. 
As students, their flirting had ended in bed, but as a one night stand it left Maja heavily disappointed – Hanno had quietly slipped away before dawn. What is now even more disturbing for her is that Hanno cannot remember her!
Leaving their meeting furious, Maja’s chaotic state of mind is at least partly to blame for the car accident she has. It turns out to be an accident that has major consequences…
When Maja awakens in a hospital bed, she immediately senses that something is different: she is suddenly able to hear – unfortunately, not quite clearly – the thoughts of the men around her! The curse is a blessing. No man will ever be able to hurt her again! 
The gift also comes in handy in her divorce case, where she succeeds in always remaining one step ahead of Hanno. Although still aggravated by Hanno’s behavior, both past and present, Maja’s attitude towards him begins to soften as her mind reading reveals some of his positive sides. They gradually start getting closer, but soon, unexpected events move them in entirely different directions…
