When Father Leopold suffers a heart attack landing him in hospital, the diocese sends the Internet priest Gabriel into the community as a substitute. Unaccustomed to real-life sermonizing, the temporary priest quickly provokes a sense of outrage in the self-righteous Laurin.
He sees only one way to get rid of the unconventional young pastor – by somehow inducing Gabriel to violate his oath of celibacy. 
For the first time, Laurin appreciates his mother’s inability to control her sexual urges. Having already secured her a job at the rectory, Laurin believes it is just a matter of time...
But not only does Gabriel prove resistant to temptation, Maria actually takes her job as the parish housekeeper quite seriously.
