Chris is finally on the verge of achieving her greatest dream: to be invited along with her Gospel choir to compete in Berlin’s famous choir contest.
That success appears to be short-lived, however, when the local fish cannery shuts down, leaving the entire village unemployed. Suddenly plunged into hard times, singing is the last thing on anybody’s mind.
When the filthy and disgruntled rocker Marc appears at Chris’ gas station in the middle of the night, her life becomes even more chaotic.
Marc had a huge fight with his manager after a terrible concert and drove off with his Porsche. After crashing the expensive sports car into a truck loaded with foul-smelling fish, he winds up injured, broke and stranded at Chris’ gas station.
When Marc discovers Chris’ wonderful voice, he believes he has found a sure-fire way to make a powerful career comeback. However, Chris would rather cut off her tongue than sing with this “pop music weirdo”!
