When the 15-year-old Lina travels to a party in Berlin, her concerned parents Hannah and Reinhard decide to secretly follow her. Reinhard in particular is afraid that his worst fears might be realized.
After an eventful journey during which they are nearly discovered by their daughter, they finally reach Berlin.
Their nightmare becomes a reality - the party is going to take place in a brothel!
Hannah and Reinhard are determined to keep their daughter out of this corrupt and sinful environment.
While Lina enjoys a cheerful and harmless adventure in the big city, her parents experience one disaster after another.
Their hotel reservation vanishes, the car is towed away and their money disappears. The tension between Hannah and Reinhard steadily increases.
On the way to retrieve their car, they meet Hannah’s old friend Mike. During their conversation, Reinhard is shocked to hear some previously unknown details of Hannah’s past…
A major fight erupts between the two and they storm off in different directions. Shortly thereafter, they are again reunited at the police station – in handcuffs. Overwhelmed with concern for their daughter, they escape from jail. Only now do they discover that Lina’s party is not in a brothel. The two had simply gotten the name wrong!
But Hannah has had enough. While walking across a bridge, they again start to argue. She can no longer handle his ridiculous paranoia. He sees danger everywhere but has failed to notice how threatened his relationship with Hannah is – until now.
For the first time, Reinhard realizes that it is not just a few bad habits that bother her; their actual marriage is at stake.
While attempting to explain himself and reason with her, he suddenly falls off the bridge into the river…
