Located in the middle of one of the most spectacular racetracks in the world, “The Yas Hotel” sets new standards for future projects of its kind.
A landscape that was once virgin desert soil now boasts a Formula One racetrack, with “The Yas Hotel” at its heart. Its two ten-story buildings are built on an 85,000 square-meter tract of land and boast unique exteriors that make the project one of the most spectacular feats in construction history.
The hotel’s facade is covered with 5,096 LED panels, which can be programmed to broadcast colors, movies and pictures. Additionally, a bridge connecting the two buildings offers guests an excellent view of the race passing under it.
Two kitchens are responsible for room service alone, while eight more restaurants, three bars and one patisserie are available to guests. An approximate number of 900 staff members from all over the world need to be trained from scratch. But only after the building phase has completely ended can the hotel’s vast service departments move in.
It is only the housekeeping department and the hotel’s management that are already busy preparing the rooms, even while still being surrounded by construction crews. The pressure is on – everything must be perfect for the grand opening.
Exclusively filmed on location in High Definition and using 3D-animated footage from its early stages as well as time-lapse photography, this special will offer a unique insight into this massive construction project – from beginning to end.
“The Yas Hotel”: Pure luxury combined with the thrill of Formula One!
