The extraordinary social experiment, proving a ratings hit around the world.
In “Married at First Sight” singles who have failed to find love put their hearts in the hands of a team of experts, who select their perfect partner. The couples then meet for the first time at the altar.
After the wedding and honeymoon, the married couples move in together and start their new lives. From the first kiss to the first tears, cameras document every moment as experts analyze the relationships. Six weeks of marriage later, the couples have to make a decision: stay together or file for divorce.
“Married at First Sight” has become the world’s most watched relationship show and one of the most talked about and highest-rating formats of the decade.
The format has been licensed to over 24 territories worldwide including the USA (A+E/fyi), Australia (Nine), UK (Channel 4), Denmark (DR1), Russia (CTC) and Germany (Sat.1).
The US version of the show has rated up to 552% above channel average and is now in its third hit season on A&E/fyi, with a fourth season commissioned. “Married at First Sight Australia” was one of biggest launches of 2015 on Nine, and in the UK the show performed 90% above channel average on Channel 4.
